A Path to Independence

As adults, we know that learning to become independent builds self-esteem, inspiration and diligence. These inform a self-awareness that enables our children to mature and grow without limitations placed upon them by their parents, teachers, and the broader society. Independent children learn patience, self-advocacy, curiosity and to think critically. These dispositions are among the most important human characteristics today. The world around them changes quickly and they must possess an independent mind in order to navigate its complexities.
